Bachho ko kyu mara tumne ?
Kya bigada tha Masumone ?
Jo khel the the maidanome,
Bhej diya une tabutome.
School se Beta aayega ,
Bhook bhook chillayega,
Soch ke Ma ne pahle se hi,
Tayyaree kar ke rakkhi thi.
Par khabar mili jab usko aisi ,
Bhagi-doudi school pahochi,
Har taraf bhikhare Lasho me,
Ma Bachha apna dhund rahi thi .
Bachho ko kyu mara tumne ?
Kya bigada tha Masumone?
Bap apne kandho pe Beto ke janaje utha rahe
Ma lipat ke roti Bachhe se,Na le jane ki jid pe hai.
Dahal gaya duniyaka dil dekh ke aise ye halat ,
Tujko mujhko dekh kaha ye le aya hia atankvad. Bachho ko kyu mara tumne ?
Kya bigada tha Masumone ?

"Nirmala," one of the profound works by the legendary Indian writer Munshi Premchand, is a poignant narrative that delves deep into the societal and personal tragedies of its titular character. Premchand, often hailed as the 'Emperor of Novelists' in Hindi literature, uses this novel to critique the rigid social norms and the marriage system prevalent in early 20th-century India.
Plot Overview: The story revolves around Nirmala, a young girl who is married off to a much older widower, Totaram, under the pressure of familial economic constraints. Her life becomes a tapestry of suffering and silent resilience against the backdrop of her stepchildren's hostility, her husband's insensitivity, and the oppressive customs that govern her existence. Through Nirmala's life, Premchand explores themes like child marriage, the plight of widows, economic disparity, and the quest for personal freedom.
Character Development:
- Nirmala stands out as a character of immense grace and fortitude. Her evolution from a naive child to a woman bearing the weight of an unjust marriage is heartbreakingly depicted. Premchand's portrayal of her inner strength, despite her external subjugation, is both subtle and powerful.
- Totaram, while not entirely devoid of sympathy, represents the flawed patriarchal figure, trapped by his own failures and societal expectations. His character adds layers to the narrative, showing how systemic pressures can corrupt even well-meaning individuals.
- The Stepchildren are portrayed with a complexity that avoids caricaturing them merely as antagonists; instead, they are shown as products of their circumstances, mirroring societal flaws.
Strengths:
- Social Critique: "Nirmala" serves as an effective critique of the societal norms that dictate the lives of women. Premchand's commentary on child marriage, the dowry system, and the lack of agency for women is as relevant today as it was when the novel was first published.
- Emotional Depth: The emotional landscape of the novel is rich. Premchand has an extraordinary ability to evoke empathy, making readers feel the injustice and sorrow of Nirmala's life with a haunting realism.
- Narrative Style: The narrative style is straightforward yet layered with philosophical and moral reflections, making it accessible yet profound.
Weaknesses:
- Pacing: At times, the narrative can feel dragged by detailed descriptions of characters' inner turmoils or societal discussions, which might slightly detract from the story's momentum.
- Character Depth: While Nirmala is deeply developed, some secondary characters might have benefited from further exploration, which could enrich the reader's understanding of their motivations.
Conclusion: "Nirmala" is not just a novel; it's a mirror held up to society, reflecting the harsh realities of gender inequality and the silent suffering of many. Premchand's narrative skill ensures that while the story is over a century old, its themes resonate with contemporary issues. For those interested in Indian literature, social reform narratives, or simply a deeply moving story, "Nirmala" is an essential read. It's a testament to Premchand's enduring legacy in literature, where he uses his pen both to narrate and to advocate for change.
Rating: 4.5/5 - A must-read for its emotional depth, social commentary, and literary craftsmanship, with minor reservations about pacing and character depth in some areas.
Overview:
Amish Tripathi's "Ram Chandra" series reimagines the epic tale of Ramayana, one of India's greatest mythological narratives. The series consists of four books: "Scion of Ikshvaku," "Sita: Warrior of Mithila," "Raavan: Enemy of Aryavarta," and "War of Lanka." Each book delves into the lives of pivotal characters from the Ramayana, presenting them in a new light that blends myth with historical fiction.
Plot and Structure:
Scion of Ikshvaku: The series begins with the story of Ram, the prince of Ayodhya, known for his righteousness, as he navigates through personal trials and tribulations, setting the stage for his legendary journey.
Sita: Warrior of Mithila: This volume shifts focus to Sita, giving her a backstory filled with strength, courage, and leadership, thus redefining her role from a mere consort to a warrior in her own right.
Raavan: Enemy of Aryavarta: Here, Tripathi explores the complex character of Raavan, providing depth to his motivations and portraying him not just as an antagonist but as a multifaceted leader.
War of Lanka: The final book ties all narratives together, culminating in the epic battle for Lanka, exploring themes of duty, honor, and the moral ambiguities of war.
Character Development:
Amish Tripathi excels in character development. Ram is depicted not just as an ideal man but one with flaws and doubts, making him more relatable. Sita emerges as a compelling figure, challenging traditional gender roles. Raavan's portrayal adds layers to his character, making him a tragic hero villain rather than a one-dimensional villain.
Writing Style:
Tripathi's writing is straightforward yet engaging, with a conversational tone that makes ancient stories accessible to modern readers. His approach to mythological retelling is innovative; he doesn't merely recount the epic but reinterprets it in a way that resonates with contemporary issues like governance, morality, and personal ethics.
Themes and Messages:
The series delves into themes of governance, justice, love, loyalty, and the eternal battle between good and evil. It also subtly critiques societal norms, particularly around gender roles, leadership, and the concept of a utopian society. Tripathi uses his narrative to question the black-and-white portrayal of characters in myths, offering shades of gray that reflect real human complexity.
Cultural Impact:
Amish Tripathi’s work has not only popularized Indian mythology for a broader audience but has also sparked discussions on reinterpretation of myths. His books encourage readers to view these ancient stories as living narratives that can evolve with time and societal change.
Critiques:
While the series is largely praised, some critics argue that Tripathi's interpretations might take creative liberties too far from the original texts for purists. Additionally, the pacing in some parts of the series can feel rushed, potentially sacrificing depth for breadth in character exploration.
Conclusion:
Amish Tripathi's "Ram Chandra" series is a bold and imaginative reimagination of the Ramayana. It offers a fresh perspective on well-known characters, making them resonate with today's dilemmas. For readers interested in mythology, history, or those simply looking for an engaging story, this series is a commendable read. It not only entertains but also provokes thought about how ancient tales can influence modern ethics and values. Whether you know the Ramayana or are new to it, Tripathi’s series will offer you a compelling narrative filled with adventure, introspection, and timeless wisdom.

Either the child has scored a perfect 10 or he/she has really made it big in some interschool/interstate or international competition. And one important aspect that I would want to bring out in the statement itself is “I am”.
As a parent when I appreciate my child by saying I am proud, the immediate thought that comes to my mind is that the accomplishment my child has made is mine despite the fact that he or she is the one who has put in all the effort. What am I as a parent trying to do here? Appreciating the child for:
• the effort that they have put in or
• letting him or her fulfill my wish and thus in turn making me proud
In most cases it is the latter. If that was not the case, the statement should have been “You should be proud of yourself my child…”
However, I would still like to use the statement “ I am proud….” , when my child:
- Helps somebody cross the road
- Shows respect towards one and all
- Is sensitive towards the needy and helps them have access to basic amenities
- Makes a difference to one’s life on a regular basis
This will really make me feel proud as this is going to be a real testimony of the value system that we as a parent have imbibed in our child. In this completive world, it is imperative to feel proud of small little things that our children do to bring a smile on others face.Man ki awaj hai, jindgi

A lot of people are facing problem regarding windows 8 metro style apps like bing, news, weather etc. not being able to connect internet. I also faced this problem and searched internet for nearly 2 months with no luck. Windows 8 is a relatively new OS and all the solution Microsoft suggests for this problem is to refresh the PC. But if you have a lot of valuable programs installed, you would probably not want to do that. Same was the case with me.
Today, while playing with the settings, I found the reason of this problem and was surprised how simple the solution was. The problem actually is with a setting with internet sharing, which makes metro style internet explorer act in a very restrictive manner. All you have to do is turn off sharing. Following are the steps to do this:
1) Go to the charms menu.
2) click on the settings option.
3) Click on the "Internet access" option.
4) Right click on the active connection.
5) Click on "Turn sharing on or off".
6) Click on "No, don't turn on sharing or connect to devices".That's all. Your apps will be able to connect to internet now.

Beauty of nature, had come to a still.
It was high and beautiful,
As beautiful as I had never seen,

At that moment, a man jumped from the hill.
He laid down motionless and still.
